The Subject line says it all, is there such a thing as a turbocharged 2-stroke gasoline engine? Has anyone heard of/seen anyone do this? I am unsure if this is possible because as far as I know, in a 2-stroke the air thats beeing forced in pushes the exhaust out the other side, because both intake and exhaust ports are "exposed" (open?) at the same time. If one was to try and cram pressurized air in there, wouldnt the air/fuel mixture just rush right through and out the exhaust side? So, anybody know if this its possible to turbocharge a 2-stroke gasoline engine?
